Just Another Copy/Paste Thief

——————- EDIT ———————–
She finally responded to my messages and has removed all of my work from her site.
————————————————-
Today a very nice person emailed me about a French site from Camille Cassan named un jour un design which I think means “one day a design”. I guess she meant one day one STOLEN design. The thing that really gets me is that she has the nerve to call herself a designer.
The design is clearly mine with a color change. The XHTML and CSS are both MINE. If you compare them you will see that they are the same and that she left in things she doesn’t even need. I really wish there was a better way of policing these matters.
I suppose in a way I should be flattered because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I’m not.

Have you contacted her?
Yes. I’m waiting on a response.
Ugh, that sucks
Un Jour Un Design’s work is really shit too, so this furthers the point they are talentless hacks.
I hope their little operation goes under ^_^

Yea, it is pretty bad. She’s clearly just starting out and already headed down the wrong path. How sad for her.
I don’t expect her to respond to any of my emails either.
Well, if she only speaks french it might be harder to explain to her what she did wrong as well. She’s probably bilingual though (let’s hope). If she doesn’t get it, she’s bound to do it again.

i used this back when i was taking french in high school, just spell everything out like “do not copy my design” in place of “don’t copy my design”. good luck.
2 emails plus 1 Facebook message later she has responded and she does speak English (thanks J I did use bablefish) and she’s taken down everything that was mine.
They don’t even look the same…
