MIXUNIT ARE RAMPANT BOOTLEGGERS

Yes its a fun design that has been in my line DIRTYJAX for several years now and is currently a best seller karmaloop.com. The print used here features a foil heart and 3M reflective ink and retails for $32 – $36 retail.

This is mixunit.com’s cheap bootleg imitation that sells for $16.99. Whats even better is this is THE SECOND TIME they pulled this shady shit. The first time it was basically MY EXACT DESIGN (they added hair to the female). I contacted them (owner Mike Rios), they apologized, removed the shirt and promised to write an order with me. That never happened but instead they decided to bootleg the design once again – IN MULTIPLE COLORWAYS! Maybe they thought I WOULDN’T NOTICE.

    normally, I would assume coincidence, but considering the fact that they stole it before, it seems obvious that they just tried to change it enough to avoid getting in trouble for stealing.

    I’d say, in this case (i don’t know about the other cases), it COULD be diff people having the same idea.The shirt are done in a different style. I have seen other versions around.I think its hard NOT to make a “I X” shirt without “ripping” somebody off ;-p

    After I posted my comment, DirtyJax went and edited my comment to say that “I’d prefer 2 guys, since I’m a sausage man”… though shit douchebag, I’m a girl, so I guess I AM a sausage lover.

    And yeah, I repeat, this shirt is SUPER generic, two people could’ve come up with the same idea, it’s not the same artwork so you are boned AND yours is WAY more FUGLY. Looks like a cheap Live Trace of some crappy clipart while the “rip” looks more well-thought, it has better composition and overall image cohesion, plus it’s not expensive as hell.

    This “design” is so stupid that I find it difficult to care if they DID steal it.

    However, it’s so freaking childish and generic and wankeriffic that I can totally see multiple dudes “designing” it over time.

    wow. Copped all 4 colors on the low low (they gotta niceee deal) and them jointzez is in my Top 5 fasho. After their ’sale’ i practically didn’t pay for them. that’s what i call a steal. whattaadeal, you shoulda kept this one all to yourself!!
