Abracadavers Jays Uzi
September 15th, 2009 by Steve Rock
Heres the original Abcav’s Jays Uzi. I’ve been making this for the better part of 5 years now.
I’ve had this design since 2005, and people try to rip it off all the time, most of the time they just erase the “Abcavs” part and pass it off as their own….
This is the first full on restructuring of it i’ve come across:
It just kills me that people will always scoop up your designs, and pass them around claiming ownership or fishing for praise… I hope these guys all die in a house fire.
www.herotic.ca for the original

“I hope these guys all die in a house fire.”
damn dude.
How crazy would it be if the laptop they did their designing on burst into flames on the couch one night. karma.
Oh come now. If they’re dead, you can’t sue them!
dude you do realize that if the blue jays wanted to sue you they probably could, right? you really shouldn’t be such a fucking baby.
It’s too bad about the blatant rip-off, but honestly wishing death upon somebody even if it’s sarcastic, is a ridiculous thing to do. Be professional. Message them and let them know if they don’t remove the copied design, you’ll have your lawyer contact them. Even if you don’t have one on retainer, it will scare most people straight.
Side note – what’s up with all this Uzi crap in designs lately? Is it me or is everyone making these Uzi shirts like this or the ones that say “Uzi does it”?
Steve- Where can I buy your tshirt design – it’s pretty bitchin.
Wow, nobody’s ever stuck a gun on something before. Shine on you crazy diamond.
nice design!
i am going to rip this right now!
love the logo; too bad it was printed on the lowest-quality t-shirts available and is completely see-through and shrinks to a tenth of its size when washed in cold water.
wish i had my twenty bucks back to spend it on a fake that might have been printed on a decent tee.
hopefully the next run is on a well-weighted t-shirt that does not disentegrate at the slightest gust of wind.
still; dope tee for a torontonian to rock (since our baseball team stopped producing in the mid-nineties).
thanks steve!
WOW. Just went to their site… that was by far THE MOST CLICHE series of T-shirts of all time.
The stolen Miami Dolphins design, the cliche women in lingerie design, another stolen Yen-Euro-Dollar design, the pseudo-Soviet design with planes and a naked chick (in red, to boot and with the cliche backwards letters!), then there’s the “I know how to use Adobe Illustrator” amateur vector design, a rip-off of the Las Vegas showgirls designs and finally, the most angsty and cliche of them all… (are you ready for it?) a shirt with what appears to be a SKULL with a battle helmet made of corporate LOGOS and the AMERICAN FLAG tied around its mouth. Wow.
I’m willing to bet that they were all created by a (or several) young white male(s) (17-21) with a pirated copy of Adobe Creative Suite.
Let me give you some advice on your next series of “designs”, Mr. Cliche designer. One with your “company’s” name in super large Helvetica with the kerning turned really low (that means the letters are really close together), one where you use the “radiation”, “biohazard”, “explosives” and/or “flammable” safety logos, and finally one where you take other companies logos (McDonalds, FedEx, etc.) and change them so it says your “company’s” name instead!
I just saved you hours of searching Google images and Deviantart for your next “inspiration”! Here’s hoping someone finds you and caves your head in with a blackjack, you thief.
That is a dope fucking logo. While this should be a great forum to call out the biters that blatantly ripped your design, I wouldn’t expect much sympathy here. Guns are a little bit too scary for this crowd of bitches that get sore vaginas because their little brothers Taco Bell toy looks too much like their fucking Dunny.
everyone that commented besides me is going to die in a housefire
oh wow… wow!
oh i see what you’ve done… swapped out the blue jays logo for a gun. how macho and i must say quite original. Seriously dude get over it. the blue jays could sue you both anyway so stop your bitchin
herotic.ca is full or copyrighted content.
If it wasn’t for the fame and brand name of the Toronto Blue Jays, your t-shirt wouldn’t have any customers. You blatantly infringed on the rights of the MLB and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Zero sympathy here. You can’t go about claiming people ripped off your “art” when 90% of your shirts use blatantly copyrighted imagery.
Fact: You do not own the rights to use movie stills from 80s
You did not get rights for “Ghost”, or “Rocky”, or “Indiana Jones”. You’re making money off the Toronto Blue Jays without paying for the rights.
You suck, you little whiner.
