AOL 3 Beta vs Yahoo

The new AOL.com 3 Beta looks like a clone of the current Yahoo.com homepage layout:

dont know where this merger ended up, but im going to bet that this is just the first step at announcing the Yahoo! AOL merger.

  2. This is an absolutely amazing case of “borrowing”. Unless they really are the same company now.

  3. I’d be interested in knowing who is the actual parent company if the merger has finalized. I chose to click that little feedback thing in the upper left and left a message berating their lack of originality. What, they can’t afford someone who can design something snazzy and original? What happened to all that money they scammed off people when they kept charging their credit cards?

  4. I was under the impression that sites like this are usually constructed from a template. The idea being that someone with no sense of design and a strong desire to save every penny they can phones up the company and says they want a website that does x,y and z.

Fair enough you’d assume an ISP wouldn’t need to do this, but it might explain it.
