  1. Yeah, ok, but to be honest, the font he used to create your logo is fairly common, like, UBER common as a look… the poster isn’t using the same font – look at the Os in BLOOD and you can see they’re different, the poster doesn’t have the skinny “is the” text… it’s similar, but i don’t think it’s a rip – I think it’s a case of both parties using common fonts, not doing much with them, and using a colloquial phrase that many people also use.

  2. Actually, the “original” uses a font I can’t immediately identify for “BLOOD”, Helvetica Neue UltraLight for “ISTHE” and —ew!— Arial Black for “NEWBLACK”. Why anybody would choose to do this is beyond my comprehension. Nevermind the letterspacing, which is a nightmare unto itself. The “ripoff”, on the other hand, at least has the sense of consistency to use —ew! again!— Arial Black throughout, and the kerning isn’t nearly as terrible (though not exactly exemplary).

Considering that “blood is the new black” is a fairly common phrase, and Arial Black —sheesh!— such a common typeface, I’d say this is a likely coincidence.

  3. Yeah this is typical Brunetti, 75% of his marketing plan is dedicated to whining loudly, to whomever will listen,on various message boards about how he is constantly “ripped off” (heavy emphasis on the quote marks btw).
Ironically the stuff he whines about the loudest are the most obvious and overworked imagery imaginable. ‘Hey look that guy did a KISS knock-off shirt, I INVENTED that.’
Better still is that Brunetti often posts these self absorbed travesties under the guise of a ‘concerned consumer’, yet anyone gifted with typing skills and the URL of Google can follow the breadcrumbs back to good old EB.
Give it up dude, Fuct went out with beanies and tech pants, and all the whining over who (Bathing) aped who aint gonna bring it back.

  4. both are pathetic and generic.

  5. the design isnt ripped, and “blood is the new black” isnt that original either.

  6. Is it a rip? Who knows. The design is so generic its impossible to tell. Tens of thousands of logos use the bold/light sans serif motif… its so overused its almost a parody of itself now. And I hardly think you can claim originality based on the phrase.

Look at this as an opportunity – you now know how trite your current logo is. Why not fire up Illustrator and design a new one?

  7. the second man in the flyer is DOPE! he makes great music! check his myspace

  8. your brand is horseshit anyways.
go tell everyone how you invented streetwear
and how all these brands copy you.
    awesome.
