Jay Jays rip off T-Shirt Hell bigtime!
Was out shopping on the weekend and i thought i'd go have a peek in a jay jays store on the off chance i saw something not quite right. well to say my jaw nearly hit the ground was an understatement. to my horror i saw 7 designs that t-shirt hell have released, on sale in jay jays. so i got out my phone and got snap happy. the pics on the left are t-shirt hell's, the right are the jay jays knock offs. i emailed t-shirt hell making them aware of it, just waiting on a reply.
Who came first? Crooked Monkey or Jay Jays? *UPDATE*
Received an email today from Crooked Monkey. Turns out Jay Jays has in fact ripped off their design.
In regards to their design they said:
"This is a direct knock off of our shirt. Amazing. We came up with this shirt in August of 2006 and produced it shortly thereafter."
They go onto say that they have just appointed an Australian distributor and that they will have him check out a Jay Jays store to see if any other designs have been knocked off. Adding that they will also be contacting the company.
Lastly they thanked me for alerting them to it.
I'll keep you posted if anything further happens.

So I saw the tee on the left on the Crooked Monkey's website the other day. Thought I had seen it somewhere before and I was right.
The tee on the right comes from Jay Jays(chain of stores throughout Australia, New Zealand & South Africa). Eerily similar don't you think?
Checked Crooked Monkey's website to see who stocks their brand and no stores from Australia turned up. Emailed Crooked Monkey alerting them to the other 'Skulls are dead. Literally' tee. Yet to get a reply, so interested in the outcome.
Question is, who ripped off who?
